Our Founder
Cider Hill Apple Orchard was the dream of its founder, Jane. Growing up in Ohio, Jane always loved the autumn season when the leaves would turn brilliant colors and the air would turn crisp. She spent many afternoons picking apples with her family and cherishing those memories. As an adult, she wanted to recreate that sense of family fun and joy by creating her own apple orchard.
Sowing The Seed
Jane spent years researching apple orchards, studying the best growing practices, and visiting apple orchards across the country. She even apprenticed with a local farmer to learn everything she could about sustainable farming practices. After many years of hard work and dedication, Jane finally found the perfect plot of land in Licking County, Ohio. With the help of her family and friends, Jane started planting apple trees, carefully selecting each variety to create a diverse range of flavors.
Growing Big
As the apple trees grew, so did the orchard. Jane built a cozy café and started hosting events throughout the season, from hayrides in the fall to Christmas tree sales in the winter. The orchard quickly became a beloved destination for families and friends looking to enjoy the best of what nature had to offer.
Where We Are Today
Today, Cider Hill Apple Orchard is a thriving community hub, promoting sustainable farming practices and providing a unique and enjoyable apple-picking experience. Jane's dream has become a reality, and her orchard continues to inspire families and friends to create lasting memories while enjoying the best of what nature has to offer
